'Building Capacity for Secondary School Apprenticeship' - Phase 3

The CES Career Education Society has received a grant from the Industry Training Authority to continue its support for the successful Building Capacity for Secondary School Apprenticeship (SSA) project for another year. This will provide opportunities for school districts to implement best practices that have been identified by participating districts during the past two years.

The intent of this project is to increase SSA student registration by supporting school districts to:

- Maintain the momentum of growing awareness and support for the SSA program (work-based trades training) and its links to ACE IT programs (in-class trades training).

- Introduce and/or revitalize SSA by implementing the best practices identified during Phases 1 and 2 of the Building Capacity for SSA project.

The school districts have been selected by an independent adjudication panel to participate in the project over the 2010/2011 school year.
